I have a hard time walking up to people and introducing myself, but I would like to meet a nice woman, so I thought I would give this a try. I don't know that I am looking for romance so much as some one to share dinner, movies, travel, walks, biking and intelligent conversation. If anything develops from that would be a bonus.
I like the outdoors, especially quiet scenic places. Places like the North Shore and Cabin lakes.
I try to stay fit, but I am not athletic in appearance. I kayak (flat water)as soon as the ice is off in the spring and until it comes back in the fall. I bike when I don't kayak. I am not a thrill seeker, but I do enjoy an adventure.
I read a fair amount and have always loved science fiction, but lately have developed a taste for historical fiction.
I am not big on the bar scene since I don't drink, I am not much of a dancer and I am shy around women, at least until I get to know them. I am divorced with a 14 year old son.
I would classify myself as a nerd, since I have two degrees in Engineering, one in Electrical and one in Mechanical. I have a hard time sitting still. I am very slowly renovating my house, just because its fun and satisfying.
I have modest artistic streak that seems to be focused around carving and sculpture.
