Gentle Reader: I am a 54 yr. old Jewish female, 5'4" tall and weigh 134 lbs. I have long dark auburn hair (oops now a blonde), big brown eyes and a ready smile. I am told by my friends that I am not hard on the eyes. I am likewise told that I look younger than my years, not surprising since I have tried to cultivate a long term view of life and what it has to offer. I am a professional career woman in the Digital Entertainment area for feature films and games with a discriminating eye towards business. I try to live life to the fullest and enjoy a myriad of things as well. I have been involved in theater, radio and TV and am not camera shy but not a "ham" either. I enjoy being with a group of friends, and am equally at home attending charity events, galas and balls. I am as comfortable in a variety of attire ranging from jeans & a T-shirt to formal functions. I am quite content and at peace being alone. I am also working on the research and development of a first time novel - a murder mystery and want to write a treatment for a situation comedy and a screenplay. There is so much I want to do. I am a true and diehard romantic and appreciate giving as much as receiving. The simple things, the hallmarks of a relationship made good over time, hold a timeless appeal to me: Holding hands, kissing, touching, notes, cards, messages on the mirrors, picnics with champagne & caviar, shampooing your hair, reading poetry aloud, a special occasion, etc. I'm seeking that special person whose words and actions will resonate within me and rekindle what felt in high school and college, tempered by the wisdom that we would bring to our friendship first.
What is a date? A date is when two people, who hardly know each other, go out
to dinner, and push their food around their plates nervously, while trying to
ask as many questions as possible in the shortest possible time. As in: Do you
ski? Play tennis? Do you like dogs? Why do you think your marriage fell apart?
Why do you think your ex-wife said you were controlling? Do you like
chocolate? Cheesecake? Have you ever been convicted of a felony? How do you
feel about drugs? How many alcoholics are there in your family? What kind of
medication are you on? Did you have plastic surgery, or is that your real
nose? Chin? Upper lip? Breasts? Behind? What kind of surgery have you had? Do
you like kids? Have you ever dated any? What foreign languages do you speak?
What’s your ideal honeymoon? Two weeks in the Himalayas? Really? Have you ever
been on a safari? To Paris? To Des Moines? Are you religious? When did you
last see your mother? How long have you been in therapy? Why not? How many
DUI’s have you had? Where does your wife think you are tonight? How long have
you been married? Divorced? Widowed? Out of jail? On parole? Unemployed? What’s
your next career move? I’m sure the circus does offer fabulous travel
opportunities, but what about the high wire? Have you been bulimic all your
life? How many twelve-step groups are you a member of? When is the later? How
soon do you think you'll call?
